4 Q’s Before Trying To Sell

In a pod cast I listened to recently I heard Seth’s 4 questions you should answer before doing anything else:

  1. Who is your next customer? i.e. what’s her outlook, hopes, needs, dreams, wants, etcseth-godin
  2. What is the story she told about herself before she met you?
  3. How do you encounter her in a way that she trusts the story you want to tell her about what you have to offer?
  4. What changes are you trying to make in her, her life, her story?

Seth says you should start with these before you invest time in tactics, technology or scalability.
