A Big Q for You ?????

Do you think what you are doing today is going to lead to happiness and fulfillment?

And if not,

How long are you prepared to keep doing it for?

This Big Q was posed in a Monday9AM short film by Nic Askew staring Neil Crofts of Authentic Business .co.uk. Neil talks pasionately about being authentic in business with a meaningful purpose.

I posed this question in my CLARITY workshop recently. Everyone felt it was a very valid Q and should be answered. The difficulty most people have even if they manage to find the answer is ‘inAction’. inAction is where we know what we want or need to do but we just don’t do it! This leads me to an even Bigger Q which is:
‘why do we not do what we truly want to do?’ Why the inAction?

I’d be interested to get your views on this Big Q. maybe you could talk from your own personal experience or the experience you observed in someone you know very well?

  1. Off the top of my head, there sometimes seems to be a wall or barrior that cant be broke throught at the time, or in the rush of the moment i am too familar with the easy option. It would be great if when we tried to do the right thing it always worked out!

  2. I believe that we set our threshold for suffering too high- At least, in my experience, an essential condition for change is that I have to become completely sick of the situation I have found myself in before I fully realise the need to change.

I think this is a tried and tested way to change : simply keep doing what you are doing until you get so sick of it and you will see the need to change.

Also, I think that we wait until we feel better about ourselves before we take steps to change,i.e. when I feel more confident than I am now, then I will make the change,
without realising that the only way we will feel better about ourselves is if we actually take steps towards the change we want to make in our life, regardless of how we are feeling about ourselves.
Once we take a step outside the door into the unknown we regain our power to change and begin to realise that our destiny is in our own hands.

By staying stuck in a rut, we are reinforcing our powerlessness, we are resisting change and as long as there is resistance, we will feel unfulfilled.

that’s just my 2 cents worth

    After reading the Curt Rosengren
article i realised my life had took a wrong slant. I’m all work and no play and havent much new to say, I havent been taking enought chances or meet more new people i enquire about guidance in life coaching from a Lorenzo and start a hobby like a cooking course.

Spiritually I always didnt want to hurt people.

But in the last while it’s like my mind drawn in while guarding my own mind im not noticing the world around me and am having persistent problems communicating, there seems to be for no reason a mental pain in my throat.(It’s hard to break this cycle because I know if I think or have negative emotions people will notice it, so I want to sort it out in my own mind, which leads me away from thinking how to help them.

I hard to cherish people, because its so easy to want, to want to get a project done, and sometimes it seems it wont work, hopefully through a stronger vision of where I want will give me the vision to be a better person.

In action it’s the remembering to cherish that the hard part, you can do a meditation on death and forget about it in the meditation break all day long.

I hope if I sort out the social side new hobby and guidance, it will help bring me out of myself and help with the cherishing.

Taking the Advice from the response, and looking to the future of where my life will go without change, it would be a horrible internal boring life, I’ll change the external with hobbies and guidance anyway ill is on the phone arranging that soon I was amazed I let things get so bad, thanks Barry for waking me up.

The spiritual problem seems harder, how can you solve a problem when you cant remember to take the cure in-action and your afraid to be spiritually guided because it seems not to make sense and you like a fool?
If anyone i know who reads this and has any ideas im always open to talking.
